Langsam zu sein, grenzt heute an ein Verbrechen: Man gilt mindestens als unproduktiv, wenn nicht gar scheintot. Dagegen erhebt die „Slow Photography“ Entschleunigung zur neuen Tugend. Es geht dabei nicht allein darum, mehr Zeit in ein Bild zu investieren. Auch andere Fertigkeiten sind gefragt: Sorgfältig planen, sein Handwerk beherrschen und aufmerksamer für Licht, Formen und Mitmenschen zu werden. All dies fließt in das Ergebnis mit ein. Wenn es die Jury ebenfalls im Bild erkennt, gehört man zu den Gewinnern.
Ob beim Fotografieren von Architektur, eines Tiers in freier Wildbahn oder bei Makroaufnahmen: Bilder bestehen nicht nur aus Farben, Licht und Schatten, erst Formen und Strukturen geben ihnen Tiefe und Authentizität. Oft geht das eine nahtlos ins andere über und es ergeben sich spannende Zusammenhänge. Viel Spaß beim Finden und Einfangen!
„Schön“ kann jeder. Mit Erfahrung, Lichtregie und Make-up verleiht ein Fotograf jedem Gesicht eine makellose Oberfläche. Schwieriger ist es, glaubhafte Gefühle in ein Bild zu bannen. Man sollte nicht glauben, dass dies nur durch Schnappschüsse möglich sei, denn viele berührende Porträts sind inszeniert. Aber die Anforderung an das Gewinnerbild bleibt: Es sollte echt und emotional wirken.
Im neuen Wettbewerb steht zwar wie immer das fertige Meisterwerk im Mittelpunkt, doch für ein solches Foto ist eine gewissenhafte Konzeption und Durchführung notwendig, wie diese Ausgabe ja ausführlich zeigt. Daher sollen alle Teilnehmer im Pflichtfeld „Beschreibung“ einen kurzen Einblick in das Projekt gewähren.
Ein gelungenes „Selfie“ ist mehr als ein Selbstporträt. Mit ihm fordere ich andere auf, mich zu bewundern: „Schau, wo ich war! Und wie glänzend ich mich dort amüsiert habe!“ Wer weniger besessen ist, steuert mit ihm klug das eigene Image. Dann wird das „Selfie“ zum munteren Spiel mit dem Ego. Genau das sind die Bilder, die die Jury sehen will!
Draußen in der Natur herrscht weitgehend Chancengleichheit. Denn die Wettbewerbsteilnehmer sind auf ihre Augen und Kamera angewiesen, aufwändiges Studiozubehör muss zu Hause bleiben. Nur die Sonne bringt ein Talent an den Tag, weswegen die Redaktion besonders herzlich „Gut Licht“ wünscht.
Doppelt hält besser. Daher komponiert man Fotos gerne mit Spiegelungen oder Kontrasten. Auch für die Motive selbst heißt es gerne „Nimm Zwei“: Das gilt für Liebende ebenso wie für Streithähne. Die Siegeschancen steigert, wer zwischen beiden Polen entweder viel Harmonie oder Spannung entwickelt.
Im Internetjargon steht die Abkürzung LOL für „Laughing Out Loud“, also für „Lache lauthals los“. Das möchten wir auch gern, wenn wir Ihre spaßigsten Aufnahmen als Beiträge zu diesem Wettbewerb sehen …
Den potenziellen Gewinnern steht das gesamte Tierreich offen: von Haus-, Wild- und Zootieren bis hin zu kleinen Insekten. Zu bedenken ist nur: Wer etwa ein Bild seines Hunds ins Rennen wirft, wetteifert mit Hunderten anderer Bellos. Daher sollte jedes Tier ebenso liebevoll wie überraschend abgelichtet werden.
Gute Porträts sind mehr als Schnappschüsse von Menschen. Die Bilder sollen den Charakter des Abgelichteten betonen. Sie verlangen daher nach vorteilhaftem Licht und einer ausgewogenen Komposition. Für die besten Porträts und die einfallsreichsten Inszenierungen winken eine Vielzahl hochwertiger Preise.
